Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) seeks an Emergency Room Technician for a full-time position at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. The ER Technician provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, supporting the ED team to maintain smooth patient flow.

The role requires BLS and CPI certifications, healthcare credentials or RN coursework in progress, and a readiness to serve patients from infancy to geriatrics in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant credential or RN coursework in progress.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or plan to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care under nurse supervision.
• Follow care plan set by RN or physician.
• Manage patient needs across all ages in the Emergency Department.
• Support smooth patient flow in the Emergency Department.

Emergency Room (ER) Technician

Full-time position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow. The E.R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.

Qualifications

ER Tech Job Requirements:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required -OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
