Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA is seeking an ER Technician to provide patient care in the Emergency Department under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role supports the plan of care for patients from infants to geriatrics and helps maintain smooth patient flow in a high-volume setting.

Qualified candidates will have BLS and CPI certifications, plus EMT/CNA/MA experience or current RN coursework.

Competenze

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required -OR- RN student with 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Mansioni

• Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department under RN supervision.
• Support patient flow and comfort for all ages.
• Assist in preparing supplies and equipment as needed.
• Document patient information accurately per department protocol.

Responsibilities

Emergency Room (ER) Technician

Full-time position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow. The E.R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.
