Corona Regional Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an Emergency Room (ER) Technician to support nursing staff in the fast-paced ED. The technician provides direct and indirect patient care from infancy to geriatric, under supervision, and assists with patient flow and safety.

The ideal candidate will hold BLS and CPI certifications, have EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant credentials, or be enrolled in an RN program with clinical coursework, and may pursue a dysrhythmia

Qualificações

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Follow the plan of care set by the RN and/or physician, addressing age and clinical diagnosis.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities

Emergency Room (ER) Technician

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow. The E.R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.
