Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA is seeking an ER Technician to provide per diem/day support in the Emergency Department. The role supports registered nurses and physicians, delivering direct and indirect patient care to all ages, with a focus on maintaining smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will hold BLS and CPI certifications with EMT/CNA/Medical Assistant credentials, and may be enrolled in an RN program.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.
• EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR- RN program with 2 semesters of clinical coursework completed.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Maintain smooth patient flow in the Emergency Department and address age-specific needs (infant to geriatric).

Emergency Room (ER) Technician

Per Diem / Day position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow. The E.R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.

• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire.
