Nao Medical in New York, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. You will support providers, perform point-of-care testing, and ensure clean, organized exam rooms while using a modern EMR system.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required.
• EKG and Phlebotomy certifications are required.
• Active BLS and Infection Control certifications are required.
• Proficient documenting in EMR systems and HIPAA compliant.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document chief complaints.
• Perform point-of-care testing including EKG, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
• Assist Licensed Providers with minor procedures (wound care, ear lavages, sutures).
• Maintain sterilization protocols for equipment and spaces.
• Check-in patients, coordinate with staff to manage patient flow.
• Front-desk support, register patients, answer phones, and schedule follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate patient charts in the EMR and ensure readiness of exam rooms.
