Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), EKG Certification, or Phlebotomy Certification.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Active Infection Control Certification.
• Fully comfortable documenting in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, document chief complaints, and collect vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing, including EKG testing, phlebotomy, and specimen collection/prep.
• Assist Licensed Providers with minor clinical procedures (wound care, ear lavages, breathing treatments, sutures).
• Maintain sterilization protocols for equipment and spaces to ensure patient safety.
• Coordinate with staff to optimize patient flow and check-in/out processes.
