Job summary

Nao Medical is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its New York clinic. You will support providers, document in EMR, and help deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include basic testing, minor procedures, patient check-in/out, and ensuring room readiness with HIPAA-compliant charting. A CMA with EKG/Phlebotomy certs and BLS is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent (EKG or Phlebotomy cert).
• Active BLS certification.
• Infection control certification.
• Comfort documenting in EMR systems.
• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork.
• Experience in urgent/primary care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, document chief complaints, and record vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing, including EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection/prep.
• Assist Licensed Providers with minor procedures like wound care, ear lavages, and suture removal.
• Maintain sterilization protocols for equipment and spaces to ensure safety.
• Assist front-desk operations, register patients, answer phones, and schedule follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate patient charts in EMR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
