Job summary

Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP) seeks a Part-Time Program Assistant & Computer Lab Facilitator to support after-school and enrichment programs in Montgomery County. You will supervise students, assist with educational software, and help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment in the computer lab.

The role involves monitoring progress, reporting concerns to leadership, and stepping in as acting lead when needed, while collaborating with families and community partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 15 with a valid work permit, if required.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the computer lab and program settings to ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
• Assist with educational software, online platforms, and technology-based activities.
• Monitor student participation and progress using program tools.
• Maintain attendance records and document student achievements and goals.
• Escort groups and support daily program activities and events.
• Serve as acting lead staff when the Lead Teacher is absent.
• Attend meetings and trainings and follow all policies and safety protocols.
