Job summary

RRC Solutions Group in New York, NY is seeking a Technical Designer to join the team on-site. You will develop tech packs, manage BOMs, and lead fit sessions to ensure quality, fit, and construction across women's apparel.

This role requires strong attention to detail, collaboration across departments, and the ability to balance design aesthetics with manufacturability and cost considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of Technical Design experience in apparel.
• Experience in women's apparel; outerwear/activewear preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tech packs with sketches, measurements, grading, and construction details.
• Create and manage BOMs, packaging, care labels, carton markings, and related docs.
• Conduct fit sessions with live models and communicate revisions to vendors.
• Review prototypes and ensure samples meet standards for fit, quality, and design intent.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production, and external partners to execute products.
• Maintain brand standards and balance aesthetics with manufacturability and cost.
