Job summary

Zaddy Solutions seeks a Technical Designer to join our New York team on-site. You will develop precise tech packs, BOMs, and ensure fit and construction meet brand standards throughout product development.

Responsibilities include coordinating with design, product development, and production partners, conducting live-model fit sessions, and driving quality and manufacturability. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Illustrator and CAD are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of Technical Design experience in apparel.
• Experience with women's apparel required; outerwear/activewear preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit evaluation.
• Excellent attention to detail with precise measurement accuracy.
• Effective communication across teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs with measurements, grading, and construction details.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and packaging documentation.
• Conduct and participate in fit sessions using live models.
• Analyze fit and communicate revisions to vendors and teams.
• Review prototypes and pre-production garments with pattern makers and manufacturers.
• Ensure samples meet standards for fit, quality, and design intent.
• Identify construction challenges and propose practical solutions.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production, and external partners.
• Help maintain timelines, quality expectations, and brand standards.
• Support fabrics, trims, and manufacturing techniques in product development.
