Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Technical Designer for our New York, NY apparel team. You will develop detailed tech packs, manage BOMs, and lead fit sessions to ensure quality from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in technical design for women's wear, strong CAD skills, and a meticulous eye for garment construction and grading, collaborating with design, development, and manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field.
• 3–5 years of Technical Design experience in apparel.
• Experience with women's wear; outerwear/activewear preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and CAD software.
• Strong garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit evaluation.
• Excellent attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration.
• Effective communication across teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs and specifications.
• Create and manage BOMs, packaging, labels, cartons, and UPCs.
• Conduct fit sessions with live models.
• Analyze fit and communicate revisions to vendors and teams.
• Review prototypes, samples, and pre-production garments.
• Ensure samples meet standards for fit, quality, and design intent.
• Identify development challenges and propose manufacturability solutions.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production, and partners.
• Ensure alignment with timelines, quality, and brand standards.
• Apply fabrics, trims, and construction knowledge to support development.
• Promote garment performance and customer satisfaction.
