Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Technical Designer for an on-site role in New York. You will develop detailed tech packs, manage BOMs, and lead fit sessions to ensure quality and brand standards across womenswear.

You will collaborate with Design, Product Development and external partners to balance aesthetics, manufacturability, and cost while meeting timelines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of Technical Design experience in the apparel industry.
• Experience with women's apparel required; outerwear/activewear preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed tech packs with sketches, measurements, grading and construction details.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), packaging, care labels, carton markings, and related docs.
• Conduct and participate in fit sessions using live models.
• Analyze fit and communicate revisions to vendors and internal teams.
• Review prototypes and pre-production garments with pattern makers and manufacturers.
• Ensure samples meet standards for fit, quality, construction, and design intent.
