Velera is seeking a Manager, Technology Delivery to lead a high-performing agile software development team. You will mentor engineers, shape project requirements with stakeholders, and drive delivery plans ensuring high-quality software products across the enterprise.

The role requires expertise in data, DevOps, and software architecture, with a focus on guiding teams, setting standards, and continuously improving processes for reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering or MIS or equivalent.
• Seven years of experience in a software development role or developer SME.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Three years of Resource Management.
• Five years in a senior or SME position.
• Experience coaching and guiding Agile Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the software development team.
• Define project requirements, scope, and timelines with stakeholders.
• Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
• Offer technical guidance and expertise to the development team.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Foster professional growth and development of team members.
• Identify training needs and facilitate learning opportunities for the team.
• Foster effective collaboration and communication within the software development team and with other stakeholders.
• Encourage knowledge sharing, cross-functional cooperation, and effective communication channels.
• Ensure the team follows best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and QA processes.
• Set and maintain high standards for software quality, performance, and reliability.
• Identify potential risks and challenges in software development projects.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and provide progress updates.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the software development team.
• Encourage feedback, collect data, and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement changes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Provide direction and leadership to staff; supervise performance and development.
