Job summary

Velera is seeking a Solutions Architect to define and communicate a shared technical vision for complex systems across software, hardware, data, and security. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Agile teams to implement scalable, cost-efficient solutions that meet business goals while upholding enterprise standards.

The role emphasizes cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures, with multiple platforms including Microsoft Azure.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and work experience.
8–10 years of professional/technical architecture experience across disciplines.
Advanced knowledge of API technologies and integration solutions.
Direct experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks.
2+ years of cloud/hybrid-cloud experience including 1 year with PaaS and 6 months with Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

Create detailed solution designs for software, hardware, infra, data, and security.
Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions aligned with product strategy.
Provide technical guidance to Agile teams while enforcing enterprise standards.
Evaluate and select technologies, platforms, and tools to meet solution needs.
Define architectural standards, patterns, and artifacts for solutions.
Plan for scalability and performance under varying conditions.
Ensure security and regulatory compliance of solutions.
Plan integration with existing systems and third-party services.
Optimize cloud resources to manage costs.
Monitor and improve solution performance over time.
Evaluate third-party vendors and tools for architecture fit.
Provide data insights through queries, visualizations, and reporting to stakeholders.
