Job summary

IEEE seeks a Tech Communications Program Specialist to liaison with staff and volunteers across the Robotics and Automation Society and related boards. You will evaluate operations of Educational Activities Board, develop policy documentation, and ensure clear governance.

The role includes managing budgets, contracts, and communications to support volunteers and members. You will collaborate with organizational units worldwide, oversee project initiatives, and deliver strategic guidance on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related discipline; Master’s preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in leading large programs or professional development initiatives.
• Experience in corporate communications planning and translating goals into campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Administrative operations & governance for Educational Activities/Boards and Committees (50%).
• Plan and manage meetings, agendas, minutes, actions for Conference Activities Board and boards/committees; provide high-level support to Society Exec Director, President, VP.
• Oversee Conference/Meeting Program: review MOUs/contracts, meeting specs, committee calls, webinar coordination.
• Monitor finance & budgets for RAS projects; prepare/update budgets for RAS heads; consolidate budgets for Board review.
• Coordinate with IEEE organizational units for contracts, legal issues, risk, and relationships with sister Societies and other Councils.
• Program management: organize tools and logistics for RAS meetings at major conferences (ICRA, CASE, IROS).
• Manage Awards/Grants programs and processes for ICRA, CASE, IROS; coordinate documentation and communications.
• Develop and maintain governance content; inform volunteers of policy changes and procedures.
