Job summary

The Tech Interactive is seeking a Public Programs Development Manager to oversee annual programming strategy for engineering and maker‑related educational programs in the labs and gallery. This salaried role reports to the Senior Director, Interactive Learning Programs and leads the program development team.

Key responsibilities include developing hands-on STEAM programs for diverse audiences, building partnerships, and evaluating program impact.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Physical Science, or Education.
• 2–5 years experience developing hands-on, interactive STEM programs for diverse youth.
• Experience communicating technical topics to diverse audiences.
• Ability to coach staff and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual programming strategy for labs and gallery.
• Lead and mentor the program development team.
• Create evaluation frameworks and measure program impact.
• Collaborate on outreach initiatives and partnerships.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as scheduled.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
