CABVI is seeking an Assistive Technology Instructor in Syracuse, NY to teach computer and technology skills to visually impaired students in various settings. You will develop and deliver engaging programs, collaborate with the Assistive Technology Manager, and help learners access CCTV and other magnification devices.

Applicants should have an associate's degree and teaching experience; strong computer skills and a passion for helping people are essential.

Mansioni

Remain current in technology and learn assistive tech for visual impairments.
Collaborate with AT Manager to run workshops, conferences and training days.
Introduce CCTV and magnification devices; train on sales and use with ATC team.
Create and run educational programs for adults and children in various program formats.
Document activities; meet needs of students individually and in groups; assist with recruitment.
Keep up-to-date with tech advances; attend trainings and pursue ongoing education.
Ensure timely delivery of quality tech services to CABVI consumers.
Build relationships with school districts, departments, and funding sources.
Provide tech services to children in school settings; consult with teachers and staff.
