Colorado Department of Labor and Employment's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation seeks a Training Specialist III to provide assistive technology instruction and related services for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The role requires conducting interviews, developing instructional plans, and delivering course materials in adaptive technology.

The position is hybrid with statewide travel for meetings and training.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of relevant experience in providing services and/or education to individuals who are blind or visually impaired in assistive technology.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individualized interviews to determine assistive technology training needs and tracks progress.
• Prepares written reports with recommendations for training programs, software, hardware, and other training needs.
• Evaluates instructional needs across settings and provides adjustment counseling and support.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of assistive technology and trains community partners and staff.
