Job summary

Texas Workforce Commission seeks a Technology Instructor II-IV to teach and coordinate training for blind or visually impaired students at Criss Cole Rehab Center in Austin. You will plan lessons, deliver instruction, and partner with staff to support independent living and vocational goals.

Preferred candidates have experience with assessments, Braille, and HTML editing, and hold a related four-year degree. Travel may be required, and security-sensitive designation applies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a major in human resources, organizational development, education, or a related field plus one year of related experience.
• Levels TS II/III/IV require progressively more experience and/or graduate study credits as described in the posting.
• All levels may substitute graduate study hours for experience or a doctorate for qualification.
• Experience in planning, teaching and evaluating in programs for adults with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and instruct students in skills for independent living and work.
• Coordinate services for students from assessments.
• Develop and evaluate training plans and provide community resources.
