Job summary

Allied Universal in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Checkpoint to protect our clients across tech and telecommunications sites. You will patrol, monitor access, deter incidents, and deliver courteous service while maintaining a secure environment.

The position is full-time with a scheduled shift pattern and pay rate of $24.84 per hour. Candidates should have at least 6 months security experience, a high school diploma, and be able to pass background checks and

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 18+ (21+ for armed) age requirements.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate responders.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating professionally with client representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
