Job summary

Allied Universal in Milpitas, CA is seeking a full-time Security Guard (Unarmed Driver Patrol) to protect client sites across tech environments. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in security, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma. Position offers hourly pay of $25 and full-time schedules including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and security-related issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established response protocols.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, employees, and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a positive and orderly work environment.
