Job summary

Lacado in Mansfield, TX is seeking an experienced Cook or Cashier to join our team and prepare a variety of dishes for restaurant guests. The role requires prior cook experience, flexibility in schedule, and a ServeSafe/food handler certification (or willingness to obtain).

You will help maintain safe, sanitary kitchens and contribute to a friendly team atmosphere. The ideal candidate can lift 30+ lbs, stand for long periods, and communicate effectively with teammates and guests to deliver

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience as a restaurant cook.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent communication and workplace safety awareness.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs and stand for 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
• Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
• Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
• Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
