Job Summary

Our Seafood Team Leader manages the entire Seafood team, ensuring smooth operations. You will guide team members and assist guests with the freshest catch and preparation suggestions. Leaders are responsible for departmental performance, representing the organization professionally, and fostering an environment of respect, inclusion, diversity, and dignity. Regular coaching and development of team members are essential parts of the role.

Job Description

  • Experience Required: Retail work experience or Store Leader recommendation
  • Experience Desired: Retail leadership or supervisory experience; performance as a Peer Trainer, in-store champion, or similar role; relevant product knowledge; satisfactory performance record
  • Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification or Licensing Required: Food Safety
  • Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
  • Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

  • Key duties include interviewing, selecting, training team members; directing work; appraising productivity; handling issues; discipline; planning and assigning work; ensuring safety; managing budgets and inventory; and monitoring compliance.
  • Oversee and evaluate training to reduce turnover, promote efficiency, and control labor costs.
  • Provide motivational leadership, focusing on respect and exemplary conduct.
  • Identify team strengths and opportunities; think strategically in scheduling and development.
  • Develop future leaders and promote an inclusive environment where every team member has a voice.
  • Prioritize safety for team members, guests, and products.
  • Inspire passion for food and commitment to excellence.
  • Set and achieve sales and profit goals, manage shrink, and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain effective communication with the team and merchandising to ensure promotional success.
  • Propose innovative ideas to enhance business performance.
  • Analyze financial and operational reports to improve sales, profits, and efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and monitor fluctuations and shrink.
