Job summary

Hormel Foods Corporation in Beloit, Wisconsin, seeks a Shift Lead to supervise plant operations and guide the team toward production and quality goals. You will participate in hands-on training and support safety, quality, cost, and customer service targets in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads team members by managing and executing plant processes.
• Manages team members in attaining production and quality goals.
• Ensures appropriate resources (including materials, equipment, and staffing needs) are available to maintain production schedules.
• Supports continuous improvement processes to ensure that goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service are met.
• Creates and maintains an engaged and team-oriented workforce to improve business results.
• Team Leaders are usually "on their feet" in the production area about 80% of the shift.

Required

• 1+ year as a shift lead, shift supervisor, assistant manager, etc. OR Associates Degree.
• Proven leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communication skills.
• Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Training

• Approximately six weeks are spent in a hands‑on training environment before being assigned to a department.
• Team Leaders attend a virtual Inspired Hires orientation that includes presentations by different divisions to increase product knowledge, company knowledge, and leadership skills.
• 6‑month operational training program while on the job.

Location and Shift

• Second and Third Shift openings.
• Extended hours may be needed, including weekends.
• Team Leaders will potentially work in environments below 40 degrees and in areas more than 60 degrees.

Base Pay Range

The base pay range for this position $70,000 to $82,500 per year; however, actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to job‑related knowledge, skills set, and level of experience.
