Job Summary
Our Night Team Leaders are key players in managing the Overnight Team. These departments can include Center Store, Prepared Foods, Produce, Bakery, and Meat. In addition to providing unparalleled guest service, you'll be responsible for maintaining department records, processes, standards, and methods. Leaders are accountable for the operational performance of the department at all times. Be a professional representative of the organization, promoting and developing individuals with mutual respect, inclusion, diversity, and dignity. Coach Team Members regularly with timely feedback, identify development opportunities, and coach for success.

Job Description

• Experience Required: Retail work experience or Store Leader recommendation
• Experience Desired: Retail leadership or supervisory experience; successful performance as a Peer Trainer or similar role; demonstrated product knowledge relevant to department; satisfactory performance and discipline record
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or Licensing Required: Varies by department
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Travel Required: None
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Interview, select, and train Team Members
• Direct the work of Team Members
• Evaluate Team Members’ productivity and efficiency for potential promotions or changes in status
• Handle Team Member issues including complaints
• Discipline Team Members
• Plan and assign work
• Ensure safety and security of Team Members and the store
• Manage department or store budget and inventory
• Monitor and implement compliance measures
• Oversee training to reduce turnover, improve efficiency, and control labor costs
• Provide motivational leadership, fostering respect and setting an example
• Identify team strengths and opportunities, think strategically in scheduling
• Develop future leaders and recognize potential
• Promote inclusion and give each Team Member a voice
• Prioritize safety in all work aspects
• Inspire passion for food and commitment to excellence
• Maintain ongoing communication to ensure team preparedness
