Title of Position: Maintenance Team Leader
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Director
Pay: $18.91

Purpose of the Position: The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the building, ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for staff and visitors. They lead special maintenance projects and provide guidance to maintenance staff.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for staff and visitors.
- Provide the supervisor and director with information regarding maintenance priorities.
- Perform daily cleaning of the facility and grounds, including snow and ice removal.
- Keep exterior reports free from graffiti and other unsightly conditions.
- Repair or replace damaged furniture, appliances, and equipment as needed.
- Spackle, sand, and paint walls and ceilings as required.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections of units.
- Inspect and repair A/C and heating units seasonally.
Additional duties include:
- Inspect and repair smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
- Repair and change door locks.
- Sheetrock walls.
- Follow supervision and guidance from maintenance managers.
- Perform minor electrical repairs.
- Maintain records of building maintenance and repairs.
- Perform other related duties as directed by maintenance or transitional housing managers.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to ascend/descend up to 8 flights of stairs.
- Work with hazardous substances using proper protective equipment.
Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid, clean driver’s license is a plus.
- Effective interaction with the client population.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
