Position Summary

The Team Leader is responsible for the safe execution of the Atlanta utilities, facilities, and production maintenance schedule in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and other applicable regulatory requirements. The role involves promoting colleague engagement and development utilizing both site and corporate resources.

Position Responsibilities

1. Manage and optimize maintenance activities, including participation in daily Gemba walks.
2. Ensure effective utilization of supervision processes for all direct reports, including objectives, development plans, and reviews.
3. Perform investigations and ensure training compliance.
4. Manage employee relations and participate in special projects related to manufacturing facilities and equipment improvements.
5. Respond to process and equipment events, ensuring communication with relevant specialists.
6. Complete maintenance work orders and respond to equipment alarms promptly.
7. Assist technicians in problem solving and ensure compliance with standards and SOPs.

Organizational Relationships

The Team Leader reports to the Engineering Maintenance and Utilities Lead and works closely with the Engineering, Maintenance, and Utilities teams.

Resources Managed

• Manage labor and overtime within budget.
• Oversee parts and equipment purchases within scope.
• Supervise budgeted headcount, including temporary workers.

Education and Experience

• Associate degree in a skilled trade with 3-5 years of maintenance supervisory experience.

Technical Skills

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and investigate failures.
• Knowledge of CMMS systems and preventative maintenance.
• Commitment to Zoetis values and results-oriented leadership.

Physical Position Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, reach, bend, lift, and work in varying temperatures.
• Work scheduled 40 hours with overtime as needed.
