Job summary

Didlake, Inc. is seeking a Team Leader – Janitor to oversee daily custodial operations, ensure safety, quality, and compliance with government contract requirements, and provide positive leadership to staff.

You will train team members, inspect work, manage supplies, operate floor care equipment, document results, and coordinate with rehabilitation staff to support program goals. Full-time hours are 6:30am–3:00pm with a $18.81 hourly wage and a $300 sign-on bonus after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of commercial custodial or maintenance experience.
• 6 months of prior leadership experience.
• Valid driver’s license; insurable under Didlake policy; 3+ years licensed driving; 25+ years old.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and able to obtain required background credentials.
• Access to work site requires a valid Real ID.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assign daily custodial work for assigned routes or areas.
• Train employees on safety practices, equipment use, and Custodial SOPs.
• Issue and control supplies and equipment; submit routine supply requests.
• Inspect completed work and document results in CleanTelligent.
• Complete Daily Work Reports and communicate with management and facility representatives.
• Operate and perform preventive maintenance on floor care equipment.
• Address employee or customer concerns and escalate as needed.
• Ensure safety standards, PPE use, and contract compliance.
• Coordinate with Rehabilitation staff to support program plans.
• Provide leadership that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned or outlined in the SOW.

Requirements

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required .
• One (1) year of commercial custodial or maintenance experience.
• Six (6) months of prior leadership experience.
• Have a valid driver's license and be insurable under Didlake's automobile policy. Requirements include but are not limited to a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving and being at least 25 years old.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to obtain required background credentials.
• Access to the work site for this position requires avalid Real ID.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of commercial cleaning products, supplies, and floor care equipment.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain electrical and battery-powered floor machines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills .
• Ability to direct daily work activities and interact effectively with employees with disabilities.
• Basic math and documentation skills.
