Job summary

Penn Station Sandwiches Tennessee is seeking a Shift Leader to join our restaurant management team and oversee opening, mid-shift, and closing operations with a focus on guest satisfaction.

The incumbent will manage a team, coach staff, ensure food safety and cleanliness, handle orders and payments, and uphold our hospitality standards while maintaining excellent guest experiences. Competitive pay and flexible scheduling are offered, plus a free meal on workdays.

Qualifications

• Must be team-oriented, friendly, and have great customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Authorized to work in the United States; must be at least 17 years old.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests by taking orders and handling cash/credit; respond promptly and courteously to guest needs.
• Deliver meals to tables or designated pickup areas while maintaining high service standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, dining room, parking lot, and restrooms.
• Stock as needed to maintain inventory throughout the shift.
• Lead and coach team members to follow policies, procedures and uphold hospitality standards.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are met.
• Open and/or close the restaurant, leading the shift as a key holder.

Responsibilities

• Delivering meals to guests at their table or to a designated pick up area, and providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of your work area and the dining room, parking lot, and restrooms.
• Stock as needed to maintain inventory throughout your shift.
• Effectively manage and lead a team of people serving our guests while maintaining our operating standards to provide the best hospitality and guest experience.
• Coaching, teaching and training team members on policies and procedures and creating a positive work environment for everyone.
