The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The Team Leader promotes a safe and productive work environment for Team Members, customers, and vendors, and trains Team Members on policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

Availability, flexibility, adaptability, and service orientation are essential. The role requires:

• Maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Working scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Upholding a safe and productive environment by following policies and procedures.
• Delivering Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate.
• Performing duties such as merchandising, opening/closing, banking, assessing store conditions, organizing workflows, merchandise recovery, price changes, resolving customer issues, adhering to loss prevention, communicating with team members, operating cash registers, assisting with policies, caring for poultry, operating equipment like forklifts and balers, and completing documentation. Certifications or licenses may be required.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred. Supervisory experience is a plus. Must be at least 18 and hold a valid driver’s license.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; reading, writing, and counting skills are essential.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal skills, ethical issue resolution, and ability to perform core responsibilities effectively.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor with moderate noise, but outdoor work in adverse weather is possible.
• Shifts typically range from 4 to over 8 hours, varying by store.
• Adherence to safety guidelines is required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds and operate store equipment.
• Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and store navigation.
• Ability to communicate effectively and complete training and certifications.
