Job summary

Millerbernd Manufacturing Company in Winsted, MN, is hiring a Team Lead for the 2nd or Weekend shift to guide a manufacturing team in Shaft Production. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $29.76–$35.33 plus an incentive opportunity.

Schedule includes 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 3pm-1am) or Weekend shift (Fri-Sun 5am-5pm) with shift differentials. The Team Lead will ensure safety, quality, and production goals, train staff, and coordinate with the transportation & infrastructure team.

Qualifications

• Preferred candidates will have prior experience in leadership roles.
• Experience leading a team in manufacturing or as an informal leader.
• Experience in metal fabrication is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic shop math and read manufacturing documentation.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical leadership to the team on the production line.
• Oversee flow of orders and material handling within the team.
• Engage and motivate team; select and train team members.
• Lead training and cross-training according to SOPs.
• Lead Tier 1 meetings and ensure production and quality goals are met.
• Plan daily activities and allocate resources; monitor performance and provide feedback.
• Maintain safety standards; enforce PPE and safety policies.
• Complete timecards, performance reviews, and assist with maintenance requests.
