Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree and at least 5 years in related machining field.
• 6+ years machining on lathes and mills.
• Proficient in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency in operating CNC equipment.
• Accurate use of tape measure and precision measuring devices.
• Ability to perform basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Select tooling and inserts.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining.
• Set up and operate machines on trial runs to verify settings.
• Monitor machine operations for malfunctions and adjust as needed.
• Transport materials using crane or forklift as required.
• Verify parts are consistent with blueprint specifications.
• Enter job data in production tracking system.
• Ensure safe work procedures and wear PPE.
