Job summary

Millerbernd Manufacturing Company seeks a Maintenance Technician 2 for the 2nd shift or weekend shift in Winsted, MN. The role inspects, maintains and repairs production equipment to ensure ongoing operations on the line.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent with two years of maintenance experience in manufacturing; a formal skilled trades program is preferred. Onsite benefits include health plans, tuition reimbursement and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and two years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Formal skilled trades program preferred with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electrical maintenance training.
• Basic knowledge interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Welding capabilities.
• Ability to perform basic shop math and use measuring instruments.
• Operate forklift, hoists, cranes and other power tools as needed.
• Work well in a high performance team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Under limited supervision with standardized practices.

Responsibilities

• Complete hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic repairs.
• Assemble, build and move production equipment.
• Dismantle, replace defective parts, reassemble and adjust for efficient operation.
• Complete PM reports and fill out work requests for major issues.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Fabricate parts required for repairs.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist in safety practices.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis.
• Communicate information and concerns clearly to others.
• Conduct air quality checks.
