Permobil has a position open for a Team Lead Production in New Berlin. The role oversees production flow, ensures material readiness, and follows work orders to deliver quality parts on time. You will guide staff, train teammates, and assist in hiring decisions while striving for safety and lean improvements.

The role requires strong manufacturing experience, basic math, and English fluency to interpret instructions. Expect a 1st shift with overtime and robust benefits for eligible staff.

Permobil has a position open for a Team Lead Production

Pay Range: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 5:30am-2:00pm (Must have the ability to work overtime hours.)

Location: New Berlin

Your Role in Our Mission

• Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, assist in the management and overall flow of the Production Floor. Ensure adequate levels of materials are available for assembly.
• Read and follow work order specifications via Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) & order hard copies to ensure quality parts in a timely fashion.
• Print, review and resolve issues with Late Order Report.
• Provide general direction to employees on production floor.
• Help out on production floor when needed.
• Assist Production Supervisor on product issues.
• Assist in training employees.
• Assist Production Supervisor with the selection and interviewing of new team members.
• Provide feedback to Production Supervisor regarding employee performance.
• Work with Customer Service Representatives and Materials Group to resolve issues.
• Ensure safe working environment by complying with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions and/or acts; complete injury reports; and work with safety team to rectify and correct potential safety hazards.
• Manage production floor in absence of Production Supervisor.
• Follow and comply with all safety, work rules, regulations, ISO procedures, lean Initiatives and lean events.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding personnel discussions, discipline, etc.
• Maintains quality service by: Meeting/Exceeding all measurements ofperformance: quality, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of workperformed.
• Contributes to team effort by: Maintaining a goodattendance record; accomplishing related results as needed; having on calllist responsibility.
• Maintains technical knowledgeby: Attending educational training.
• Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.
• Emphasize continuous improvement and efficiency.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Proven in-depth product knowledge.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide and metric conversions).
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate manufacturing instructions in English.
• Must be familiar with portable power tools such as a drill, band saw, and grinder.
• Good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and management.
• Must have problem solving skills.
• Must be able to maintain confidential information.
• Must have intermediate computer knowledge and ability to navigate the internet to access company portals.
• Ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, andprocedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employeesof the organization.
• Abilityto define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws validconclusions.
• Proficient personal computer skillsincluding electronic mail, record keeping, excel, word processing,spreadsheet, etc.

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $23.00 - $29.00 per hour . Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
