Job description

HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Team Lead -Point of Care to join our Laboratory System which includes hospital labs, clinic labs and CLIA Waived lab sites. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge. Duties will include installation, training, education, quality control review, inventory management, among other duties. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible, and highly aware of the importance of communication, standardization and maintaining compliance.

Position Specifics:
Specialty: Laboratory
Schedule: Full time, 40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, Days
Clinic Location:Home base is Springfield, IL, requires travel to hospitals and clinics in Central and Southern IL.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA 88’ regulations preferred.
  • Associate degree in medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA 88’ regulations is required.
Experience Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Eligibility of certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, HEW or other laboratory certifying agency. Certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Pay Range:

$31.03 - $46.54

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.
