Job summary

NKC Health is seeking an experienced Patient Accounts professional to oversee workflows and staff training under the Patient Accounts Director. The role troubleshoots complex billing scenarios and escalates issues as needed to protect revenue and customer satisfaction.

The position requires 3+ years in patient accounts or 5+ years in billing/payer roles, with strong Excel/Office skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a patient account-related position.
• 5 years billing and payer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and payer policies preferred.
• UB-04 and modifiers knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workflows are followed and serve as a resource for staff.
• Troubleshoot complex billing scenarios and escalate as needed.

Summary

Under the direction of the Patient Accounts Director, serves as a resource for staff and ensures workflows are followed. Troubleshoots complex billing scenarios and escalates, as needed. Assists with special projects, as assigned. Conducts ongoing training/in-services for staff and is responsible for training of new employees; manages account receivable activities to ensure optimal revenue outcomes and customer experience.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience in a patient account-related position preferred; 5 years billing and payer experience preferred.
