Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prefer 2 years in a manufacturing/distribution operation.
• Ability to work with cross functional teams to address issues.
• Critical thinking to evaluate complex and changing situations.
• Able to train quickly through on the job experience.
• Verbal and written communication to report performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy manufacturing equipment to produce materials to specification requirements.
• Learn and follow standard work for all areas as assigned.
• Evaluate products through visual and dimensional inspection to ensure conformance to tolerance and specifications.
• Organize, load and move in process materials and finished products to maintain efficiency.
• Recognize when routine adjustments are necessary and identify errors early to minimize rework.
• Detect and report faulty operation, defective materials or equipment conditions; work with others to resolve.
• Abide by safety and quality specifications.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Check production schedule and requirements for runs.
• Set up the machine according to specifications.
• Clean and perform some maintenance on the machine.
• Enter information into MRP system as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned
