Siemens Mobility is seeking an Applications Engineer Team Lead for GIS & MV Secondary Switchgear Proposals, based on site in Wendell, NC. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of engineering experience in an EPC, engineering, manufacturing, utility, or industrial environment.
• Ability to evaluate single-line diagrams, schematics, relay protection and control schemes, and related engineering documentation.
• Experience with electrical and 2D layout tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the proposal team to develop comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for Gas Insulated, metal enclosed, and pad-mounted switchgear solutions within the Siemens portfolio.
• Oversee bid coordination activities, including review of customer RFQs, determining optimal product fit, and assigning resources based on complexity, timelines, and team capacity.
• Interface with Siemens factories as needed to support bidding strategies and ensure competitive, executable proposals.
• Mentor and onboard new Application Engineers to support ramp-up and professional development.
