Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Wendell, NC is seeking a Sr Applications Engineer for a hybrid role (2–3 days in office, 2–3 days remote) to support the EA business unit with technically and commercially competitive proposals. Relocation assistance is available.

You will translate specifications, develop layouts and cost models, lead evaluations, and partner with Sales to drive win‑rates while ensuring a smooth transition from bid to execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience in power distribution or related field.
• Experience with medium‑voltage power distribution, switchgear and transformer applications.
• Willingness to travel <10%.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer specifications into optimized technical solutions and scopes of work.
• Develop layouts, single-line diagrams, and cost models for proposals.
• Lead technical evaluations and vendor selections, including RFQs.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development to support customer discussions and proposals.
• Ensure a smooth handover from bid to execution with PMO and cross-functional teams.
