Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Medium Voltage AIS Project Engineering team in Wendell, NC. This hybrid role offers in‑office and remote work with relocation assistance provided.

You will design medium‑voltage switchgear, create CAD drawings, and collaborate with engineers and manufacturing to deliver cost‑effective, on‑time solutions. Required: Electrical Engineering degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, plus knowledge of MV protection, AutoCAD Electrical, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
5+ years of experience designing or configuring electrical power distribution products.
Experience with medium‑voltage protection and control systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer requirements to develop detailed electrical designs for medium‑voltage switchgear.
Create complete electrical drawing packages (schematics, wiring, layouts, nameplates, one‑lines, and communications) using CAD tools.
Partner with project engineers to deliver cost‑effective, on‑time solutions that meet customer expectations.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve design and production challenges.
