Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for customers.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training of talent.
• Collaborate with leadership on department scheduling to boost engagement and store profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team in food safety compliance and safe operations.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display where applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture and diversity initiatives.
• Operate registers and handle cash as needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to support goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as needed.
