Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and direct a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze information.
• Commitment to safety and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members; promote career development and promotions.
• Document disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and control shrink.
• Model exceptional customer service and uphold Meijer standards.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
• Ensure team is trained and on-brief for required training.
• Engage with customers to deliver exceptional service.
• Maintain a safe work environment; ensure consistent attendance.
