Job summary

ASML US, LP is seeking a Team Lead First Line Support Production Engineer for Wilton, CT. You will oversee the First Line Support team during the shift, provide technical guidance, and coordinate daily activities to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

The role requires 5-7 years in high-tech manufacturing, strong leadership, and proven problem-solving skills. Experience in optical fabrication or cleanroom environments is a plus, as is familiarity with SPC, PFMEA, Teamcenter and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or science with 2+ years in production or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5-7 years in high-tech production/manufacturing with hands-on engineering support and people management preferred.
• Lead daily work coordination and support shift execution in a dynamic production environment.
• Strong problem-solving, structured troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, containment development, and follow-through to closure.
• Experience coaching, training, mentoring engineers, technicians, or production employees.
• Ability to communicate production risks, disturbances, quality issues, and recovery plans across cross-functional centers.
• Experience in optical fabrication/assembly processes is a plus; cleanroom experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee First Line Support during the assigned shift to align resources with production priorities.
• Provide technical support by guiding troubleshooting, reviewing disturbances, and driving timely resolutions.
• Coordinate work across the shift to ensure tasks are assigned, prioritized, and completed to safety and quality standards.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues and as a communication bridge between team members, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, and leadership.
• Monitor shift progress, identify risks, and take action to maintain workflow, quality, and cycle time expectations.
• Coach, train and mentor team members on-the-floor to ensure adherence to training guidelines.
• Escalate structural process or procedural issues to the Competency Production Engineering team and propose solutions.
• Present daily shift reports and production status to support decision-making and quality improvements.
• Support root-cause analysis, cycle-time improvement, and development of work instructions as required.
• Attend Tier 2 meetings daily and collaborate with Product Leads to drive productivity.
