Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Team Lead for the Monticello, IN facility on the second shift (1:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.). This role leads the production department, assigns work, and drives safety and quality in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.

You will coach team members, manage schedules, and ensure equipment is maintained and set‑up efficiently. The position includes an annual incentive plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of trade school or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and maintain quality work habits.
• Strong communication with plant personnel.
• Exhibits mechanical aptitude and adheres to safety procedures.
• Handles a fast-paced daily workflow and maintains regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the production department and assign work to the team.

• Enforce plant policies and participate in bid selections; follow DOT/HAZMAT policies.

Team Lead – Monticello, IN

Donaldson is a technology and innovation leader focused on filtration solutions. The Team Lead position at our Monticello, IN location leads a production department during the 2nd shift (1:00p.m.–9:00p.m.) in an innovative, team‑oriented environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Supervise the production department, assigning work and encouraging team involvement.
• Complete the performance management process for all team members, schedule work, and ensure equipment is maintained, purchased, and budgeted.
• Coach team members through problem‑solving to identify and resolve process issues.
• Monitor production orders or schedules to ensure products are manufactured and scheduled delivery dates are met.
• Coordinate department schedules and manufacturing activities to meet production and quality specifications.
• Train team members on procedures, methods, problem‑solving, printing, programming, quality requirements, and safety.
• Coach team members on safety improvements, surveys, and inspections, and follow‑up on safety issues.
• Assist with machine set‑up, preventative maintenance, and repair when necessary.
• Uniformly, consistently, and fairly administer applicable plant policies, practices, and procedures.
• Aid in the job bid selection process.
• Comply with DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Use designated personal protective equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience.
• Work effectively with limited supervision and maintain high‑quality work habits.
• Maintain good working and communication relationships with all plant personnel.
• Exhibit mechanical aptitude.
• Adhere to safety procedures.
• Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $29.27 (actual salaries may vary based on experience, training, education, and performance). This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
