Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Production Supervisor in Indiana to lead the manufacturing floor, assign work, and manage safety and quality standards. This role partners with maintenance and quality teams to meet delivery dates and optimize output.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent with trade school/work experience, strong supervisory skills, and a hands-on approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Supervise the production department which includes assigning work, encouraging team involvement, completing the performance management process for all team members, scheduling work, ensuring needed equipment is maintained and purchased, and developing and following departmental budget
  • Coach team members, through problem solving, to identify problem areas and solve them
  • Monitor production orders or schedules to ensure product is manufactured, and scheduled delivery dates are met in order to plan department operations
  • Coordinate department schedule and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of product meets specifications
  • Train team members on procedures, methods, problem solving, prints, programming, quality requirements, and safety
  • Coach team members on safety improvements/surveys and department inspections, and follow-up on safety issues
  • Assist with machine set-up, preventative maintenance, and machine repair when necessary
  • Aid on-line at critical production points
  • Uniformly, consistently, and fairly administer applicable plant policies practices, and procedures
  • Aid in job bid selection process
  • Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
  • Use all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required
Minimum Qualifications
  • A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience
  • Work effectively with limited supervision and maintain high quality work habits.
  • Maintain good working and communication relationships with all plant personnel
  • Exhibit mechanical aptitude
  • Adhere to safety procedures
  • Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment
  • Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance

Hourly Rate: $29.27

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
