Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. in Wadesboro, NC is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in preschool classrooms. You will support daily activities, supervise children, organize the classroom, and engage families as part of a collaborative education team.

Starting rate is $14 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours/week). Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision.
• Support children’s developmental and educational needs.
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation.
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities.

Start or grow your early childhood career while helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. UCCA is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in preschool classrooms.

You will support daily activities, child supervision, classroom organization, and family engagement as part of a collaborative education team.

Starting Rate: $14 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week)

Physical Demands
