Osseo Area School District ISD 279 in Brooklyn Park, MN, seeks a continuous substitute teacher for Fair Oaks Elementary. The role supports instruction across multiple classrooms, using district resources, and maintains communication with guardians and staff.

The substitute may be moved to other sites as needed during the year. Starting August 31, 2026, the position ends June 10, 2027, with a schedule that follows the Continuous Substitute MOU and includes in-person and remote components as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota teaching license; K-6 Elementary Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction across multiple classrooms and deliver curriculum per district guidelines.
• Communicate with teachers, staff, school leaders and guardians; use instructional resources and technology effectively.
• In-person, synchronous and asynchronous learning; participate in leadership activities as needed.

Job Description

Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to the community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide classroom instruction across multiple classrooms; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district and the school and/or program for which employed; maintain contact and communication with teachers, staff, school, district leaders, and guardians/caregivers, when applicable; deliver and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; follow system policies and regulations concerning scholar conduct and discipline; follow professional practices consistent with school and system policies in working with scholars, scholar records, guardians/caregivers, and colleagues; provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning when applicable; work collaboratively with others. Willing to participate in district, building, and department leadership activities. This continuous substitute position will be at Fair Oaks Elementary, with the possibility to be moved to another site if no substitute positions are open at Fair Oaks Elementary that day. Please note that your assigned building may change through the year based on system needs.

Position ends on June 10, 2027 (last day of school for students).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota teaching license. K-6 Elementary Education preferred.
• If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive at least a Tier 2 license.

Salary: $37.00 hourly (Schedule D rate of pay)
