Job summary

Brooklyn Middle School in Brooklyn Park, MN, is seeking a Math teacher for a long-term substitute role (0.1 FTE) starting September 14, 2026. The position is part-time and temporary through June 7, 2027, with duties spanning instruction, curriculum delivery, and collaboration with staff.

The ideal candidate holds a MN teaching license in Math 5-8 or Elementary Ed 1-6, or is eligible for an Out of Field Permit; willingness to pursue Tier 1/2 licensure is required if not yet licensed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minnesota teaching license in Math 5-8 or Elementary Ed 1-6, or willing to obtain.
• If not licensed, willing and eligible to apply for Tier 1 or 2.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support in math curriculum areas.
• Maintain contact with guardians/caregivers to support scholar progress.
• Design, deliver, and assess curriculum per district guidelines.
• Offer in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning as applicable.
• Collaborate with others and participate in district/building leadership activities.

Classroom Teacher

Minimum qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• MN teaching license in appropriate field ( Math 5-8 or Elementary Ed 1-6) , OR a valid MN teaching license in another field and willing to obtain an Out of Field Permission.*
