Job summary

Osseo Area Schools is seeking a high school math teacher for a long-term substitute position in Brooklyn Park, MN. The role requires delivering math instruction aligned with district standards and communicating with guardians to support student progress.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and MN teaching licensure in Math or an equivalent license with permission. The substitute is 1.0 FTE from approximately 11/9/2026 to 04/12/2027 and may participate in district leadership

Qualifications

  • MN teaching license in Math, OR a valid MN teaching license in another field and willing to obtain an Out of Field Permission.
  • If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2 license.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and teach students in math within the high school curriculum.
  • Provide instruction and support using district guidelines and available resources.
  • Maintain communication with guardians/caregivers to support student learning.
  • Design, deliver, and assess curriculum; adapt instruction for in-person and remote learning when applicable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in district/building leadership activities.

Provide instruction and support in the curriculum areas for which employed; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district, school and/or program for which employed; maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers of scholars, working with them in the development of their scholar; design, deliver, and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; provide in-person, synchronous and asynchronous learning when applicable and work collaboratively with others. Willing to participate in district and building leadership activities.
