Job summary

Osseo Area Schools is seeking a continuous substitute teacher for Palmer Lake Elementary in Brooklyn Park, MN. The role involves delivering instruction across classrooms, using district-approved resources, and maintaining communication with families and staff.

The position supports in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning and may move between sites as needed. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and a Minnesota teaching license (Tier 3/4 preferred; Tier 2 as a fallback).

Job Description

To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide classroom instruction out of multiple classrooms; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district and the school and/or program for which employed; maintain contact and communication with teachers, staff, school, district leaders, and guardians/caregivers, when applicable; deliver and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; follow system policies and regulations concerning scholar conduct and discipline; follow professional practices consistent with school and system policies in working with scholars, scholar records, guardians/caregivers, and colleagues; provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning when applicable; work collaboratively with others. Willing to participate in district, building, and department leadership activities. This continuous substitute position will be at Palmer Lake Elementary School, with the possibility to be moved to another site if no substitute positions are open at Palmer Lake that day. Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $37.00 hourly (Schedule D rate of pay)

Work schedule: Minimum contract day (see Continuous Substitute MOU linked above)

Desired start date: August 31, 2026

This is a temporary assignment. This position will end on June 10, 2027 (last day of school for students).
